Limmud 2009

12 January 2010

The December Limmud at Warwick University, the largest Jewish gathering in Britain, was the scene for a presentation by 'Resource' Executive Committee member Gillian Gurner, supported by Caroline Brill, Graham Morrison and Natalie Smith on our information stand.

This year was the 29th and the largest ever Limmud event with 2,500 participants attending and over 900 sessions with 340 presenters. Gillian spoke for 90 minutes to a satisfyingly full room on the subject of how to network successfully when looking for a job: 'It's Not What You Know, It's Who You Know'. But predictably with an audience curious to know more of Resource's offering, it developed into a more general session about job hunting. The information stand carried details of ‘Resource’ services and contact details, and saw visitors new to 'Resource' as well as old friends whom we had helped in the past.
