CST’s Campus Team exists to protect Jewish life and ways of life in higher education. As the Campus Outreach Officer, you will form an integral part of the Campus Team alongside the Campus Team Manager and security-focussed Campus Officers. You will specialise in understanding how antisemitism presents in higher education, and the threats it poses to Jewish students and staff on campus.
You will work proactively to develop CST’s understanding of campus antisemitism, identifying concerns and trends that warrant further attention. You will do this
through:
• Working closely with Jewish students and staff, to learn about their experiences
of antisemitism on campus
• Collaborating with community partners who work in the campus space
• Conducting your own research and analysis.
You will also be the first port of call for Jewish students and staff who experience an
antisemitic incident, overseeing the full process from triage, to first-class victim
support, to incident response.

Your key responsibilitties are:
Travel to university campuses around the UK to engage with Jewish students, staff, and other relevant stakeholders about antisemitism
Ensure that incidents of antisemitism in higher education are reported to the Campus Team
Provide support to victims of antisemitism in higher education, and coordinate next steps
Conduct independent research into antisemitic threats on campus
Analyse information, identify trends, and propose responses to address those trends
Share learning with the Campus Team and, where appropriate, CST more widely
Collaborate with other Jewish campus providers to share learnings about and responses to antisemitism in higher education
Be a collaborative, diligent and proactive member of the Campus Team, and of the CST team more widely

You must be a team player, and have:
Excellent understanding of antisemitism and the threats affecting the Jewish community, and the drive to continue learning about this complex subject
Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build strong relationships with a variety of audiences
Strong communication skills, including through public speaking and report writing
Ability to be resourceful and proactive in identifying ways to achieve your objectives, with the support of your manager
Well organised, with the ability to see a project through from beginning to end
Enthusiasm to work in an ambitious, collaborative and supportive team
Demonstrable ability to research primary source data
Ability to represent CST with professionalism and maturity
Be prepared to work flexible hours and to travel around the UK consistently
This job suits a recent graduate with an upper second class or first degree

Hours: Fulltime. Leave: 20 days pa + bank holidays and Jewish holidays increasing by 1 day after 3 years continuous service. Shabbat-friendly Friday early closing. Benefits incl: access to in-house gym, discounts at local kosher shops, workplace pension and more.
