At Resource dedicated advisors give each client expert advice and guidance, tailoring their journey of 1:1 support, workshops and seminars. Based on two sites in Finchley, our services are all available online nationwide. Clients can access a wide range of services, including writing effective CVs and job applications, networking, psychometric testing, up to date IT skills, and mock interviews.
Resource’s clients are from a diverse range of backgrounds, specialisms, sectors, work history and ages. Some will be still working, some will have had a break from their career, some might be looking for their first job others be looking for a less demanding role to reflect their changing lifestyle.
Resource is client centred, identifying how best we can help our individual clients on their job search journey. Generally their programme will start with our Job Search & CV workshop (JS&CV) which gives them the foundation on which to develop their job search action plan. It is also a gateway to other seminars, webinars, IT training, mock interviews, networking and more.
Mainly working face to face, we also meet clients using zoom or teams.
Key Responsibilities
- To hold initial meetings with clients to discuss what has brought them to Resource and identify how we are able to help them.
- To brief clients on the programme we offer eg workshops, webinars, seminars, training.
- To work with clients after JS&CV to move forward their career thoughts, marketing material eg CV, elevator pitch, covering letters and job search plan.
- To actively maintain contact with clients to support and motivate them to build their confidence and realise their objectives.
- Preparing clients for their next role.
- Keeping up to date with recruitment initiatives and practices.
About You
- You will be a professional who enjoys advising, motivating and working with a wide range of individuals. To do this you will ideally have:
- Knowledge of the current job market and recruitment market in a variety of specialisms and sectors in order to support their journey.
- Been in the workplace within the previous 12 months.
- A willingness to be flexible and adaptable to respond to individual client needs.
- Good communication skills to actively listen and build rapport.
- Ability to manage expectations and give constructive feedback.
- Analytical/problem solving and creative approach to issues.
- Total commitment to equality and diversity.
- Be willing to participate in induction and development initiatives.
