Volunteer Storyteller Role
The Role
We're looking for a warm, skilled storyteller to bring our clients' journeys to life. You'll interview clients, capture their experiences, and write compelling stories that inspire others to seek our support, and demonstrate the real impact of our work. Stories will be shared on our website, across social media, and in the press
What You'll Do
- Conduct friendly, sensitive interviews with Resource clients
- Write up each story in an engaging, accessible style
- Work with our team to get sign-off from clients before publication
- Lightly edit and refine stories based on feedback
- Produce approximately one story per month
What We're Looking For
- A confident, empathetic listener with ability to quickly build rapport with people
- Strong written English and a flair for storytelling
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- An interest in employment, social mobility, or the charity sector
- Self-motivated and tenacious
You Don't Need To
- Have formal journalism or writing qualifications
- Have previous charity experience

Time Commitment and Location We would like someone to commit a minimum of 4 hours a week, to create approximately one story per month. The role can be home-based, and there will be opportunities for face to face time with our team.
