Last week, JW3 London was buzzing with energy as job seekers gathered for Land Your Next Job: Expert Tips on CVs, Networking & Interviews with Resource. What could have been an intimidating topic turned into a morning filled with encouragement, practical advice, and plenty of “aha” moments.
From the moment people arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Attendees came from all stages of the job-search journey, some just starting out, others looking to pivot or refine their approach. But everyone shared the same goal: to feel more confident about landing their next opportunity.
The workshop kicked off with hands-on guidance on crafting a standout CV and cover letter. Instead of generic advice, participants were given clear, practical tips on how to tell their professional story in a way that genuinely captures an employer’s attention. There were plenty of nods around the room as people realised small changes could make a big difference.
One of the most engaging parts of the evening focused on interview skills. Through lively demonstration and real-world examples, attendees explored how to present themselves with confidence and authenticity. There were laughs, thoughtful questions, and a lot of note-taking as people picked up strategies they could use in their very next interview.
The conversation then turned to networking, often a daunting word for many job seekers. By the end of the session, it felt far less intimidating. Guests shared experiences, swapped ideas, and learned that networking can simply start with genuine conversations and curiosity.
Perhaps the most special part of the evening was the sense of community in the room. People stayed behind after the session to chat, exchange ideas, and encourage one another. Many left not just with practical tools, but with a renewed sense of confidence and motivation as well as signing up with Resource with our CEO.
One attendee summed up the morning perfectly:
“Thank you so much, this is my first time dipping my toe back into the water as I look for jobs and this was a great session. I really enjoyed it.”
It was an uplifting and inspiring evening at JW3, reminding everyone that job hunting doesn’t have to be a lonely process. Sometimes, all it takes is the right advice, a supportive room, and a little encouragement to move forward.
