We have a number of interesting volunteer roles that we are looking to fill. Please have a look at the job descriptions below to see which take your interest below and get in touch with us. All of our volunteers:

1. Administrator 

The role of the Administrator is to support the efficient running of Resource by undertaking a range of administration duties for the Front desk, Relationship Management and Marketing teams. The role requires half a day per week, approximately 3-4 hours, although some flexibility is helpful

2. Marketing Assistant 

The role would provide opportunities to get involved in varied and interesting aspects of marketing, including campaigns, website administration, stakeholder relation management, event planning and social media management working with and reporting into the Marketing and Communications Manager.  The role requires approximately one day per week.

3. Telephone Support Volunteer

Resource has a thriving community of alumni who have received our support in recent years, known as the Resource Community.  The role of the telephone support volunteer is, as part of a team, to keep in touch with members of the Resource Community. The role requires one to two days at a time, approximately twice a year although some flexibility is helpful.

4. Clerk to the Trustees

The Clerk to the Resource Board of Trustees will perform the duties of secretary and manage the organisation of the Board including:  

  • Take minutes at Trustee meetings (usually on a Friday morning from 9.30 - 11.30 once every 2-3 months) 
  • Type up the minutes and send them to the Chair of Trustees for approval 
  • Co-ordinating Board meeting and Away Day meetings 

The role requires attendance at Trustee meetings 6 times/year and to spend up to half a day following each meeting typing up the minutes.
